ABOUT US

Our Team

An association that doesn't bring solutions, but supports them

Students at the Irene School in Maralal, Kenya

Storm Project was founded in 2019 by a group of friends, family and former teammates of Mattia, now our Manager. We didn't set ourselves the mission of "bringing education": we chose to support people, schools and communities that already have a clear vision of what's needed. Our role is to offer skills, time and funding — not to decide in their place.

MISSION AND VISION

Schools designed by the people who will live in them

We support a boarding-school model for girls — self-sustaining and replicable — born from the vision of Father Peter Musau and the Samburu community. Our contribution is financial, logistical and human; educational and organizational choices stay where they belong: in Kenya.

Our idea of school

Boarding, because it protects girls fleeing early marriage and genital mutilation. Inclusive, because it also takes in refugee students from the Kakuma camp. Self-sustaining, because one day it must be able to stand without us. Replicable, because one day there must be another one — and another.

Our Kenyan partner — and proof of our principle

NIELIMISHE FOUNDATION

It matters to us that decisions get made where the projects live. Nielimishe Foundation, founded in 2024 and registered in Kenya, is led by Father Peter Musau — who is also our President in Kenya — and a local team. It buys the land, runs the works, decides the educational priorities. We fund, tell the story, and offer technical skills from Italy: but they build the school.

In 2024, Nielimishe purchased the 10 hectares where the next Irene-model school will stand. Same logic, replicated: boarding, self-sustaining, inclusive.
